I woke up this morning to a great surprise: alt-J released a new single and announced a new album! Their third album, titled RELAXER, is set to be released on June 9th.
Their last album, This Is All Yours, was released in 2014, and their debut album, An Awesome Wave, in 2012. The new single “3WW” is so very alt-J. It leads you from a slow, dreamy guitar introduction to similarly dreamy vocals and from there directly into a fast paced crescendo and then swings you back and forth again. It’s pretty experimental, but what isn’t with this band?
