Preview: Parquet Courts @ 9:30 Club

Since they came together in Brooklyn back in 2010, Parquet Courts have consistently been at the forefront of the modern rock scene. The group has mastered the simplicity of the garage-rock sound, while also stringing together some of the smartest and most socially-aware lyrics in recent rock history. Their most recent album, 2016’s critically acclaimed Human Performance, shows the band at its best. They have traded in their loose production style for a cleaner, more refined sound without sacrificing any of their energy. Standout tracks “Berlin Got Blurry” and “Dust” show that the the group is still more than capable of putting out catchy, guitar-driven music, while the album’s title track shows they are as lyrically fine-tuned as ever.

Parquet Courts have been touring in support of the album for almost a year now, and their final stop comes Monday, February 13th at the 9:30 Club. It will be a high energy rock show that will be well worth seeing. Get your tickets here.
