“The Next Time We Wed” – The Fratellis

The Fratellis have picked up right where they left off with their new single, “The Next Time We Wed.” This is the Scottish band’s first single after their 2016 album, Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied, and subsequent world tour. Their concert in D.C. was amazing. They made it through more than three times the songs an artist will usually play in one evening, and they put on a great show. This is the first single released off their album, In Your Own Sweet Time, which will be released on March 9th, 2018.

“The Next Time We Wed” is as upbeat and energetic as their previous albums are, featuring lead singer Jon Fratelli’s usual falsetto and catchy lyrics. It’s most like songs off of We Need Medicine, their 2013 studio album, but it reminds also me of “Baby Don’t You Lie To Me,” which was my favorite single from Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied.
