Last week, self-described madman Justin Scott, singer and bassist of Mercies, dropped by to update us on his  life-after-Georgetown. Merging with the talents of John Russell on vocals and guitar and Ezra Finney at drums, the trio has coalesced into a band crafting  frenetic but minimal, raucous but tempered, melodically jagged rock, already turning heads and volume knobs .
