“What Am I Becoming?” – POP ETC

“What Am I Becoming,” the latest single from alt rock fresh face POP ETC, has quickly become a go-to song for alt rock radio stations.  This is no surprise, as its upbeat and radio-ready sound make it an irresistible hit.  Formerly known as The Morning Benders, POP ETC took on the new name after parting ways with bassist Tim Or. They’re now a trio of multi-instrumentalists, including brothers Chris and Jon Chu and Julian Harmon.  With a sound similar to that of Ra Ra Riot and Passion Pit, POP ETC’s music is heavy on the pop-synth and exuberance that characterizes its established counterparts.  You can now catch POP ETC as part of the SiriusXM radio station AltNation’s Advanced Placement Tour along with The Moth and The Flame and Banners, which even made a stop at DC’s own U Street Music Hall on March 11th.
