English singer and songwriter Jade Bird will perform in the District on Saturday, April 20th at the Miracle Theatre. Following the recent release of singles, “You’ve Fallen in Love Again,” and “Burn The Hard Drive,” Bird will be on her “Open Up the Songbook” tour until late September.
Bird’s music possesses strong Folk and American influences, with a unique “pop-Americana” sound. She has garnered numerous Americana Music Honors & Awards nominations, with comparisons to Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, and PJ Harvey. Her debut single, “Lottery,” topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Song charts in 2018. With “Lottery,” Bird became the fifth female artist to top the Adult Alternative song charts since 2010.
Her upcoming EP, “Burn the Hard Drive” will be released on April 10th.
