Based in Anchorage, Alaska, Medium Build is the project of Nick Carpenter and anyone else who has joined him along the way during the project’s five year life. Medium Build is at its core an embrace of collaboration, evolving with every session. In his most recent singles “Rabbit” and “Good At Being Lonely,” Medium Build explores brutally honest emotions through RnB rhythms, swaying guitars, brass harmonies, and, of course, signature lo-fi electronics.
One thing that has remained consistent in Medium Build’s music across the years is the honesty and sincerity put into every song and every record. Composed of sincere lived experience, the lo-fi synths and danceable rhythms allow for these experiences to take on lives of their own. It’s no wonder that Medium Build has its own unique place within the Anchorage scene.
