Sorry is playing a late-night show at DC9 Nightclub on November 11th with Charlotte Rose Benjamin. This English indie rock band from North London is difficult to define, with their music influenced by everything from punk and grunge to pop, hip-hop and jazz. Sorry was formed by childhood friend Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen. After adding Lincoln Barrett and Campbell Baum, the band started performing music under the name Fish before changing their name to Sorry. They released their debut album, 425, in 2020 and it quickly climbed to #13 on the UK indie charts. The band planned a tour during 2020, but the performances were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, Sorry released the concert album A Night at the Windmill, the proceeds of which benefited a beloved indie venue in London called The Windmill.
Since live music came back in-person, Sorry released a new full-length album, “Anywhere But Here,” last month. With 13 new tracks that tackle painful themes such as loneliness, death, and heartbreak, Anywhere But Here shows off Sorry’s diverse sound while also resonating with the common struggles of the younger generation. This late show is going to be unforgettable!
