Gorillaz is set to take Merriweather Post Pavilion this Monday, October 17th. The virtual band created by Damon Albarn is composed of singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitarist Noodle. The fictional characters and universe that make up Gorillaz is developed throughout music videos, interviews, short cartoons, and comic strips. Their live performances draw on this background for an immersive and exciting show that involves their storyline and graphics, illustrated by Jamie Hewlett. With several infamous studio albums in the past, including Gorillaz, Demon Days, Plastic Beach, and Humanz among others, they are set to release a new album this February, Cracker Island, from which one single, “Cracker Island,” has already been released. Their set will feature many of their older fan favorites along with some of their newest creations. The four fictional members of Gorillaz are sure to put on a colorful, unforgettable show for the fans at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
