Kevin Morby is returning to DC’s 9:30 Club on Saturday, October 22nd in support of his newest album, This is a Photograph. Morby is known for his impassioned take on americana folk and This is a Photograph, released in May, delivers a sincere mediation on the blurred lines between life and death in a time when nostalgia is king. The album dances between raucous tunes like “Rock Bottom,” a playful recollection of feeling like you’re always the butt of some cosmic joke, and gentle banjo ballads like “Bittersweet, TN,” a tender duet between Morby and Erin Rae that reflects on all that slips away when time moves too fast.
