Janelle Monáe brings the Age of Pleasure tour to DC for two consecutive nights at the Anthem, Sunday 9/24 and Monday 9/25. The multi-disciplinary singer and actor (Moonlight, Glass Onion) is known for their inventive RnB and electric live performances. After a string of critically and commercially successful albums in the 2010s, this year’s Age of Pleasure abandons high concept in favor of pure indulgence in sun-soaked Afrobeats grooves and unabashedly sexy jams. Flyana Boss and Nana Kwabena open, after Jidenna’s run with the tour was cut short due to health reasons. Tickets still available for both nights.
