The Velveteers, an up-and-coming rock trio, will be opening for Des Rocs at Songbyrd this Wednesday with a performance of their debut album Nightmare Daydream. Nightmare Daydream is The Velveteers bringing rock and roll back to its most primal elements—the riff, the rhythm, the snarl–allowing it to blossom in their image. Working with music icons such as Grammy Award-winner Dan Auerbach, the trio has been dubbed a group of “natural-born rock stars” with a fresh sound an new perspective. It only makes sense, given this title, to have opened for Guns N’ Roses this past August.
