Thomas Rhett is probably one of my favorite country singers because of his modern twist on country. Many of his songs, such as “Crash and Burn” and “T-Shirt,” have a hint of pop to them, but still include a traditional country sound. He’s the son of the acclaimed country singer Rhett Atkins, and he grew up surrounded by legendary country singers visiting his home, influencing him to begin his own country singing career.
Currently 26 years old, Thomas Rhett has just released his new single “Star of the Show.” In this song he continues his typical “modern country” trend. “Star of the Show” is dedicated to his wife Lauren Gregory, whom he’s known since first grade He sings about how beautiful he thinks his wife is, but she doesn’t see it.
Overall, it’s a cute song that will make any country-loving girl happy and feeling self-confident. This single will be featured on the deluxe version of his album Tangled Up, expected to be released on October 28th of this year.
