“Traveller” – Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton has been around since the early 2000s, but you probably haven’t heard of him. Stapleton made his impact on the country music industry behind the scenes as a songwriter. He’s written songs for high profile artists such as Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Tim McGraw, and even Adele. Some of his most notable work includes Darius Rucker’s “Come Back Song”, Kenny Chesney’s “Never Wanted Nothing More”, Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer”, and Thomas Rhett’s most recent hit single “Crash and Burn”.

This past week, Stapleton released his second single, “Traveller”. “Traveller” is an authentic country track that would make the likes of George Strait and Vince Gill proud. Stapleton’s rough yet soulful voice supplemented by some steel guitar and female vocals are the highlights of his latest single . “Traveller” is a light, carefree song that just feels right. This single is the perfect way for Stapleton to begin promoting his first studio album, entitled Traveller, out May 5. If his work on “Traveller” is any indication, Stapleton will have no trouble making the transition from songwriter to artist.
