Monday, February 23:

  • Ariel Pink with Jack Name @ The 9:30 Club: Ariel Pink, known for his musical eclecticism and very unusual music videos, is a singer-songwriter and producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. He claims his early influences were acts such as Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, and David Bowie.
  • You Blew It! with Tiny Moving Parts and Rozwell Kid @ DC9: You Blew It! is an emo/punk rock group. They are touring the recent release of their latest album Keep Doing What You’re Doing.

Tuesday, February 24:

  • Sleater-Kinney with Lizzo @ The 9:30 Club: Sleater-Kinney have resumed touring after a nearly eight year hiatus. The all-female group was a big in the late 90’s and a leader in the indie rock movement. This is a sold out show.
  • The Dodos with Springtime Carnivore @ The Black Cat: The Dodos are an indie rock group based out of San Francisco touring after the release of their sixth studio album, Individ.

Wednesday, February 25:

  • Sleater-Kinney with Lizzo @ The 9:30 Club: See above. This is also a sold out show.
  • OCD: Moosh & Twist with Ground Up and Witt Lowry @ U Street Music Hall: Philadelphia born and raised hip hop duo made up of two 21 years olds.
  • Helmet @ The Black Cat: Helmet is an alternative metal band based out of New York City. They formed in 1989 and had mainstream success in the 90s, but took a six year break. They reformed in 2004 and have been touring since.
  • Paper Route with Spirit Animal @ DC9:
