Playlist: Byron Bae

My latest travels Down Under brought me to Byron Bay, a small coastal town an hour plane ride from Sydney. Known for its stunning beaches and abundance of natural beauty, I stepped off the plane and immediately fell in love with the place. With a special on surfers with long blonde hair and acai bowls, Byron was the quintessential Australia I imagined when I first decided to study here. Where else can you whale watch while laying on the beach and see the sunset alongside the Cape Byron Lighthouse?

The dreamy vibes of Byron Bay have inspired this playlist, with smooth indie folk and soul capturing its aura best. The Head and the Heart, Ben Howard, The Lumineers, and others were playing non-stop for me while I was there, so give this playlist a listen if you want to feel like you’re in Australia’s best beach town.
