This Thursday, October 13th, Broken Social Scene is performing at Lincoln Theatre. The band is touring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed album, You Forgot It In People. One of the best indie albums of the 21st century, this performance (followed by another night at 9:30 Club on Friday) promises to be electric.
Broken Social Scene was started in 2001, by Toronto musicians Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. They were some of the pioneers of ‘twee’ and with an ever-changing band and fluid sound, have been forerunners of indie for more than two decades. With other iconic albums, Feel Good Lost and Forgiveness Rock Record among others, Broken Social Scene has forged an iconic sound and position in the indie-rock scene.
