Brooklyn-based indie rock group San Fermin will take the 9:30 Club stage this Wednesday, May 10 in support of their new album Belong, which was released in early April. Belong is the band’s third album in four years, joining 2013’s self-titled debut album and 2015’s Jackrabbit in their discography. While the band is still fairly new to the music scene and has yet to receive any kind of major recognition or acclaim, their past musical endeavors have garnered positive reviews from NPR, Rolling Stone, and online music magazine Pitchfork.
Some of San Fermin’s most highly acclaimed projects include “Sonsick” and “Parasites,” the lead singles off their first and second albums, respectively. While the band’s members are primarily male, it is lead singer Charlene Kaye’s powerful and memorable vocals that give the band their signature sound and make these tracks, among several others, so infectious. Check out “Bride,” the lead single off Belong, here:
The show will start at 7:00 p.m. with opening act Low Roar. Tickets are selling fast, but you can still purchase them here.
