Interview: Priests

Priests is one of the best bands in DC. An avant-garde onslaught of pure punk rock, the group has won praises and accolades from all sides: from Bob Boilen to Pitchfork and Ian Svenonious. After playing nearly every single music venue in DC, Priests are taking the headlining reigns at U Street Music Hall. Katie Alice Greer, Priests’ incendiary and vibrant lead singer and lyricist, phoned in earlier this month from her office away from home (the National Portrait Gallery) to chat about her musical beginnings, the origins of Priests, and the creative process. Listen to the interview and check out Priests at U Street Music Hall on April 16th!
