Preview: Dope Lemon @ 9:30 Club

Australian artist Dope Lemon is coming to DC and hitting the 9:30 Club stage. This musician is seeing the American sites as part of his tour following the release of his fourth record Kimosabé.

Dope Lemon or the recently revealed identity Angus Stone is an indie musician and producer who over the years has released four records as Dope Lemon and two albums before this. His first being in collaboration with his sister Julia and the second being a solo endeavor. A number of his singles have been hugely successful including ‘Marinade’ off his 2016 album Honey Bones, as well as the 2021 ‘Rose Pink Cadillac’. He seems to be influenced by 90s indie rock and surf rock more generally which is most predominantly seen on the latest album Kimosabé.

Opening the show is Franklin Jonas, who is none other than the mysterious fourth Jonas Brother. He is a solo musician who prefers to stand out of the Jonas Brothers light, with this his music being very different from the pop smash hits they produce. He began releasing music only in 2023 where he plays and experiments with audio production, creating unique effects to the sound.

The show will be on Tuesday November 7th. Doors open at 7 PM and there are still tickets available!
