The Chicago-based electro duo Louis the Child is headed to the District this week for a two-night appearance 9:30 Club with support from Win and Woo and Opia. The shows will be happening Wednesday, October 25th and Thursday, October 26th, with the Wednesday show already out and tickets for the Thursday show running around $40. You can score them here!
The pair that makes up Louis the Child, Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, went to the same high school and met in 2012 at a Madeon concert. After meeting, they decided to join forces and start making music together, even though Kennett was finishing up high school and Hauldren was set to start at the University of Southern California.
In 2015, they released their first single, “It’s Strange,” with vocal support from Bay-Area based K. Flay. This was followed by party anthem “The Weekend” featuring Icona Pop, and their first EP in 206, entitled Love is Alive, with some help from Chelsea Cutler, Elohim, Evalyn, Ashe, and Blaise Riley.
