Preview: The Head and the Heart & Phosphorescent @ The Anthem

The Head and the Heart and Phosphorescent are playing at the brand new exciting venue on the Wharf, The Anthem. The concert will take place on Friday, October 27, 2017 (a great start to your Halloween weekend)! Doors are at 6:30 and the show is at 8 pm. Tickets are around $45 and they’re not sold out yet!

The Head and the Heart is an indie folk band that was formed in 2009 in Seattle. Their newest album is Signs of Light and was released in 2016. I would describe their music as chill and down to earth. Their new album is a little more pop-like than their previous ones. Check out the songs “Rivers and Roads,” “Let’s Be Still,” and “All We Ever Knew” to get a taste!

Phosphorescent is the opening band. They were from Athens, Georgia but are now based in Brooklyn. Their music is described as “singer-songwriter” but I would describe it as chill with a folk-y vibe. My all time favorite song by them is “Song for Zula” with “Wolves” coming in close second. Check them out below!
