OK Go has redefined what a music video can be. From their incredible recent “The One Moment” to the treadmill ballet that started it all and won them a Grammy, the band has been consistently pushing the envelope of visual and musical artistry in the digital age.
OK Go will be at the Hirshhorn Museum this Friday, December 9th, for a free special acoustic performance. They will also be awarded Smithsonian Magazine’s American Ingenuity Award in the Visual Arts, which has been called “the Golden Globes of intellect.” Other 2016 recipients include Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, comedian Aziz Ansari, and all-around legend David Lynch, so the band is in some pretty great company. Although it looks like all of the tickets to the event have been claimed, you can join the waitlist here.
