Frankie Cosmos is becoming somewhat of a regular on stage at Comet Ping Pong in North West DC. She returns to the pizza shop/ping pong arena/sweet music venue on November 19th. Joining her on the bill are All Dogs and Foozle.
Look out for Frankie’s forthcoming EP called Fit Me In that’s scheduled for release on November 13th by her label, Bayonet. One single, “Sand” has been circulating for a while—and we are big fans. However, just last week Vulture picked up the four track EP, and its now streaming on their site in its entirety. There’s certainly more instrumentals and polishing on these tracks than the precedent that was sent with her last album Zentropy, so we look forward to seeing her perform a combination of the two.
Also promising to put on a good show next Thursday night are the self-described “punks playing pop music,” All Dogs who hail from Columbus, Ohio. Their latest project, Kicking Every Day, is available on bandcamp and worth a listen. To round out the night is Foozle, a DC three-piece who echo the DIY feel of Frankie Cosmos and All Dogs. It will surely be a night to remember.
The price of admission is $12 well spent. Doors at 9PM, and per Comet Ping Pong’s usual, all ages are welcome. Visit Comet Ping Pong’s site for ticket purchase.
