“The Underdog” – Spoon

3

Spoon was formed by lead singer and songwriter Britt Daniel in 1993 in Austin, Texas, and has released eight albums since, their most recent in 2014. “The Underdog” was one of the hit songs off of my favorite album, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, released in 2007, and hit number 26 on U.S. Modern Rock charts. Complete with a horn section, Daniel’s ever so distinctive voice, and some strikingly truthful lyrics, it’s easy to see why this catchy song was such a hit.
